Come to Lampang, my home town.

Lampang is not jam-packed with tourist attractions, and it's not all that glamorous, but it is a real Thai town, unlike what you will see in Bangkok, or at beach resort areas like Phuket. In Lampang, old ladies in the markets still make the local northern food: country curries and other concoctions you'll never see served at a Thai restaurant in the States. People are friendly, and there are few tourists. There are many real Thai things in Lampang to learn about, but you would never see them on your own. That's where I come in. Lampang is a place I know well. It's where I was born, and it's where my friends and family live. Moreover, Lampang is a great jumping off place for excursions to interesting places in nearby provinces. I would love to take you there and show you around.

Educational Tours To Lampang: local culture, cooking, crafts, massage and language, with excursions to neighboring provinces.

I lead small group tours (8 people minimum), leaving from Seattle and based in Lampang. Tours last between two and five weeks. If you have a group of your own, please contact me and let me know your details.

My tours are friendly and relaxed. Instead of being shunted from place to place all the time, you will have time to learn from local people and soak up experiences. Hotel accomodation will be simple, safe and clean.

There are many things to learn about in Lampang itself, including traditional northern cooking, Thai massage, and of course Thai language. Your teachers will be local people who usually teach other Thais, with translation assistance from myself where needed.
